Nexly Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Hang mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the App. By using Hang, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Phone number — used for account verification and authentication
• Profile information — name, age, photos, bio, interests, personality archetype quiz responses, and language preferences
• Identity verification data — submitted voluntarily for ID verification to increase your trust score
• Activity posts — descriptions of activities you create or join
• Messages — content exchanged through in-app chat (time-limited to 24 hours before a scheduled hang)
• Feedback and reports — post-hang feedback, ratings, and safety reports you submit about other users

Information Collected Automatically

• Location data — approximate location for showing nearby activities on the map; exact location shared only after mutual matching and with your consent
• Device information — device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version
• Usage data — interactions within the App, features used, session duration, and crash reports

2. How We Use Your Information

• Matching — AI-powered matching based on shared interests, location proximity, and personality compatibility to suggest relevant activities and people
• Safety and trust — calculating and displaying trust scores based on community feedback, verifying identities, and enabling SOS/safety features including live location sharing to your trusted contacts
• Communications — sending notifications about hang requests, matches, messages, and important account updates
• Improvement — analysing usage patterns to improve the App, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Compliance — enforcing our Terms and Conditions, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• With other users — your public profile information, trust score, and activity posts are visible to other users. Approximate location is shown on the nearby map; exact location is shared only after you match with another user.
• Service providers — trusted third-party providers who assist us with hosting, analytics, phone verification, identity verification, and push notifications, bound by confidentiality obligations
• Safety situations — when you activate the SOS feature, your live location is shared with your designated trusted contacts. We may also disclose information to law enforcement if we believe there is an imminent risk of harm.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App. Chat messages are automatically deleted 24 hours after the scheduled hang time. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, safety, or regulatory purposes. Anonymised and aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Export — request a portable copy of your data in a commonly used format
• Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for location sharing or other optional data processing at any time through the App settings

6. Children's Privacy

Hang is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information and terminate the associated account as quickly as possible.

7. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
